Mom Photography: Get Great Shots of Cookie Decorating
(Inside: Mom photography is so much fun. I love capturing the at-home moments, including decorating cookies for the holidays.)
Conversations while decorating cookies…
9-year-old: I might get a Godzilla from Santa.
Me: You think?
9-year-old: Yeah, because what I know about Santa is that he knows what kids want, and he knows if they are on the good list or the bad list.
Me: Which list do you think you’re on?
9-year-old: Probably the one I’m on every year…the good list. This year was a pretty good year…but last year, I think me and my brothers barely made it.
The holiday traditions can be so beautiful. Of course, none of it is perfect, but I love capturing the things my kids say, and their images on my camera.
Here’s my mom photography. I hope these photos give you ideas as you capture your own lovely family.

Your brain bounces between your day at work, what time(s) your kids need to be at practice, your teen’s missing school assignments, that you haven’t called your mom lately, the load of the laundry to be switched, “What’s for dinner?” and “Why are 3 of my brain-tabs frozen?”
You are raising tweens and teens and young adult kids – the unique parenting phase where everything gets easier…and harder.
